My new day trading office in Brazil sits on the fourth story in the building of a small neighborhood called Santa Teresa.  To the left am able to see the entire coast of Rio de Janeiro, which includes the Sugarloaf mountain, and to the right you can see the Christ the Redeemer statue (not in the picture).  Most of the days here have been sunny with blue skies and I have been able to visit the popular Copacabana beach, I have not been able to pimp the tiny Speedos that these Brazilian guys where.

All in time right?

On Wednesday of this week I will be moving into my new apartment, roughly a block away of where I’m staying now, and will have a similar view of the entire city of Rio de Janeiro. The only difference is I will be sharing the apartment with a new partner name Brice, which is now a member of the LTD Project.

I will introduce Brice at a later time but all you have to know now is after 5  flights, a boat ride, two overnight buses, and seven countries, he will finally arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday to start learning how to use my day trading strategy.

My day trading office in somalia

 I was able to visit Somalia when I was living in Ethiopia. One of the reasons I moved to Eastern Africa was to be able to visit not only visit Somaliland, but also the newest country in the world, South Sudan. I was able to visit both countries and can now say that I was the first day trader in the newest country in the world. There was a day trader already in Somaliland, I tried to meet  him but fell short on time. The biggest challenge to day trading in Eastern Africa was the internet. The required internet speeds for day traders don’t have to be super fast, but we do need a reliable connection.  I had the biggest problem in Ethiopia, Somaliland didn’t have an issues as the fastest internet connections can be found on the coast of Africa. Somaliland also has a very advanced wireless networks for mobile broadband.

I still remember it like it was yesterday how I could multitask like never before.  I would enter a trade with a somewhat precise price then get a glass of water and even read the news for the day.  Once I heard the computer say “target filled” I would come back and do it again.  We aren’t always able to do this because as all things in the world, the market dynamic always changes.  The kind of market environment that we have had in the last week has been much more volatile and we have had to keep a closer eye on the market in order to ensure that we minimize our risk and maximize our reward.

I’ll be posting more offices soon.  My day trading office in Buenos Aires, Argentina was one of the first every since I started traveling around the world.  I have had to trade from a ping pong table that was held up by a freezer when I visited Somaliland.  Stay tuned for more day trading office updates!
